Overview: When gawky Irish teenager Róisín has to tell her best friend Jess that she loves her, she receives help from an unusual source - the cartoon villainess 'Empress ClawScream'. Set in the early 1990s, Empress ClawScream is an LGBTQ+ rom-com where regional sci-fi conventions, 1980s cartoon crazes, Riot Grrrl feminism, and first love all collide in spectacular fashion.
