Overview: After the collapse of the USSR, the fate of the former Soviet Republics and the people living in them developed in different ways. The protagonist of the film, a former citizen of the Soviet Union, and now a citizen of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, is trying to live with dignity, or rather, to survive in the new post-Soviet reality.
