Old Man Bebo

Overview: Filmmaker Carlos Carcas's documentary chronicles the extraordinary career of renowned Cuban musician Bebo Valdés, who remained a relative unknown on the international scene until winning two Grammys at the age of 81. Valdés's story is told through performance clips, footage and photos of his life in Cuba, and interviews with family, friends and colleagues. One of Havana's top musicians in the 1940s and '50s, Valdés left Cuba after the revolution.
