Overview: Carol runs a hotel where one of the guests, her lover Mathias is a scientist who has invented a pill which can induce instant euphoria and sexual stimulation. Claude is keen to market the pill, but while Mathias is considering this proposition, he finds Carol making love to Lucy, and in his anger, he destroys the formula.
