Overview: At the end of the 17th century, Georgia, weakened by war with foreign enemies and internal feudal disorder, came under the influence of Iran. Georgian kings had to fight under the Iranian flag. A similar fate befell King George XI. He was forced to spend most of his life in Afghanistan and Baluchistan to quell the revolts against Iran.
