Overview: HO and General GAY are the two leading and opposing mandarins when Ching EMPEROR HONG HAY is on the throne. HO has just returned from his mission to Korea, and the EMPEROR is happy about the fruitful outcomes. This further arouses the jealousy of General GAY, who is already anxious to get rid of HO. The EMPEROR is greatly annoyed and orders for the execution of HO and his family. HO's wife and only daughter FUNG are lucky to have escaped, but HO is captured. FUNG and her mother hide at the house of another mandarin, AN.

Overview: The house of AN is confiscated when the EMPEROR learns that he has helped the HO's. So his son LOONG, who is also the lover of FUNG, has to join FUNG as fugitives.
