Overview: This is a story of Ihashi Satoru - an ambitious young man whose plans of becoming a first-rate chef. His goal is hindered by the hard-nosed traditionalists of Restaurant Fujimura.

Season 2

Overview: Ihashi Satoru, back from training in Kanazawa, is a master chef hopeful. He's raring to show off his new skills to the gang at Restaurant Fujimura. As usual, he gets sidetracked. Ordered to help out at a shorthanded restaurant in Kyoto, Satoru finds himself at the bottom of the ladder again and struggles to gain the respect of his fellow cooks

Overview: An SOS call comes into Restaurant Fujimura from a hot spring inn which has lost its kitchen crew. Ihashi is sent to give them a hand. Can he keep the inn from going under?

Overview: One day, Ihashi Satoru, the assistant chef at the venerable Tokyo restaurant Fujimura, receives news of a class reunion. It has been 20 years since he graduated from culinary school. Proud that he has become a chef of a certain level, he gladly attends. However, his heart sinks at the sight of the luxuriousness of the venue as well as the differences in the perception of the value of money between his former classmates and himself. Furthermore, Kayama Natsuko, who now deals with numerous stores as a food consultant, suggests that he consider coming out and starting his own business. One day, Satoru falls sick and is hospitalised for several days. It is extremely busy at Fujimura without him, but the chef Nakatsugawa Hiroshi, who has returned from France, joins. The waitresses thoroughly adore the knowledgeable, sociable and caring Nakatsugawa. Satoru is not pleased to hear this...
