Overview: Ruth Clee finds her independent city life being turned upside down when her in-laws buy a country cottage for her and her husband, close to their own home. When learns that she is pregnant she finds her efforts to resist the move becoming more futile.

Overview: Ruth has a renewed confidence after attending group therapy at the clinic. She is soon distressed though when she is accused of putting baby Thomas in danger. After Elizabeth attempts to gain more control following the incident, there ends up being a fateful confrontation between the two women.
