Overview: The nine contestants enter their Pods, meet Val, and start the experiment.

Bed of Nails

Episode number: 2

Overview: The contestants continue their first treatment and then do a brand new test. Finally they must lay on a bed of nails until they are told to get up or until they quit.

To Eat or Not to Eat

Episode number: 3

Overview: As the contestants finish the bed of nails treatment, someone has been elimated. They do a brand new test which is a puzzle in a horror movie, and start a new treatment. They must eat until they quit or until they throw up. Someone else is elimated.

Brainwashing

Episode number: 4

Overview: The contestants finish the eating treatment. They enter a brand new test, which Number 6 can not participate in and begin to start the next treatment. Number 6 leaves his Pod and is elimated from Solitary.

Head Spin / Tailspin

Episode number: 5

Overview: Val tests the concentration of the five remaining guests and challenges them to a turbulent test of equilibrium. Another person is elimated.

Val Turns Up the Heat

Episode number: 6

Overview: The final four guests are put into darkness, and confront their fears. The next treatment is a fiery experiment of pain.

Everyone Goes Mad

Episode number: 7

Overview: After days without human contact, a test forces Val’s guests to begin raving like mad men. Then they face off in a grueling battle of physical endurance that isn’t over until someone collapses.

The Final Experiment

Episode number: 8

Overview: In the most difficult challenge yet, the final two guests are locked in Extreme Solitary—and only one emerges with the ultimate prize: $50,000.

Solitary Reunion Special

Episode number: 9

Overview: Join the nine former pod people, including the grand-prize winner, as they look back on their time inside their octagon-shaped cells. Get the inside scoop on what it was like dealing with their solitude and the infamous Val.
