Season 1

Overview: In season one we see Elizabeth Thatcher, a cultured young teacher in 1910, leave her comfortable world in the city and accept a teaching position in a frontier town.

Season 2

Overview: In season 2, Abigail Stanton together with the other widows (whose husbands were killed in a mining explosion) gear up for the trial against the Pacific Northwest Mining Company. Meanwhile, Elizabeth and Constable Jack Thornton travel to Hamilton (Elizabeth's hometown) to visit her ailing mother. Elizabeth settles into her old life as Jack adjusts to the extravagance of the big city.

Season 3

Overview: Elizabeth and Jack's romance in Hope Valley continues to develop as we follow the adventures of other townspeople. In particular, two newcomers arrive, changing the lives of both Frank and Abigail and challenging their relationship. Lee and Rosemary's bond deepens as they reconcile their strong personalities. And Bill Avery's future remains uncertain. All things build toward a moment of truth for Jack and Elizabeth.

Season 4

Overview: This season, Hope Valley will get more than a few surprises, as well as a few new faces. Meanwhile, Jack and Elizabeth’s love grows stronger than ever as their passions are tested in more ways than one.

Season 5

Overview: In season five, Abigail is faced with a new crisis when financial troubles for the town loom. Elizabeth gets an unexpected visit. Ever the dedicated wife to Lee, Rosemary keeps busy at Dottie’s dress shop as she works to make Hope Valley more fashionable. As Elizabeth awaits news of Jack, who has returned to the Northern Territories, she focuses on teaching her students and dreams of the day when Jack comes safely home and they can plan their wedding. Sheriff Bill Avery keeps Hope Valley safe, as well as maintaining a close eye on Gowen, who continues to adjust to his new life as a laborer at Lee’s mill. Doctor Carson Shephard’s skills are put to the test when an unknown sickness sweeps through town, he opens his heart to love again, and takes a risk that could save or take a life of someone he cares for.

Overview: Elizabeth has finished her manuscript. An unwelcome visitor stirs up trouble for Nathan and Allie. A homesick Rosemary and Lee cut their South American trip short. Faith arrives back from medical school. Clara and Jesse haven’t been getting along. Fiona has a new business venture.

Season 9

Overview: Hope Valley is in a state of growth with new challenges that impact the town. The town is buzzing about the Mayoral race. Elizabeth and Lucas focus on their new relationship. Nathan is focused on his Mountie career. There’s a new pharmacist in town. Rosemary and Lee continue to run the town newspaper.

Season 10

Overview: This season focuses on a water diversion scheme that threatens to destroy Hope Valley and the surrounding towns. Hot springs are discovered, which bring tourism and an economic boost to the town. Lee and Rosemary have their first child. Lucas and Elizabeth plan their wedding but ultimately decide to split up. Lucas runs for governor and wins. Nathan attempts to have a relationship with Faith, but romance doesn’t work out between them. Rosaleen, a former student, returns to town. Henry finally finds redemption.

Season 11

Overview: School teacher Elizabeth Thornton embarks on a fresh start — with new romance, new challenges and new style. She and Mountie Nathan Grant navigate their growing romantic feelings while also leaning on each other for support as they face new parenting obstacles. Newly elected governor Lucas Bouchard must confront his past in order to embrace his strengths and lead Hope Valley into the future, while retired mountie Bill Avery and newspaper reporter Rosemary Coulter team up to unravel a mystery putting their entire community at risk.

Season 12

Overview: Love flourishes for schoolteacher Elizabeth Thornton and Mountie Nathan Grant as they embrace the joy of new romance. Reporter Rosemary Coulter and retired Mountie Bill Avery team up once again to investigate a train robbery, while Governor Lucas Bouchard and Mayor Lee Coulter quite literally find common ground. The community comes together to celebrate and support each other through a season of discovering passions, leaps of faith, and a whole lot of dancing.
